FreePBX 17

Starting from version 17, FreePBX runs on the Linux Debian OS, guaranteeing smoother and more effective updates in the future. With a GNU GPL license, FreePBX 17 is now available as a Debian Install script package.

Please note that the FreePBX project introduced a BETA ISO for version 17 in early 2025 (available on our Download page).

Upgrading from a previous version?

Keep in mind that you will not be able to do so using a script or upgrade utility. Instead, you will need to conduct a fresh installation and then transfer the data. For further information on upgrading to version 17, please refer to the links below.
